📰 Ukrainian ports continue to raise prices for food #wheat
🤔 According to APK-Inform news agency, the Ukrainian export market for food wheat has been experiencing upward price dynamics since the beginning of the current week.
💡 The active interest of importers to purchase this crop with a restrained supply from agricultural producers, previous upward price dynamics in the external grain market, and reduction of competition in key markets against the background of restriction of export of Russian wheat contribute to the increase in wheat prices. Additionally, prices are supported by competition between flour millers and exporters.
🔎 Thus, in Great Odessa ports, during the reporting period, purchase prices for food grade 3 wheat increased by 2-4 USD/t and as of January 16, 2025, are reported within the range of 212-221 USD/t CPT-port. At the same time, in Danube ports, the increase in demand prices averaged 2 USD/t and is fixed in the range of 214-220 USD/t CPT-port compared to the end of last week.
